Golds Gym Trainer 420
Apr 01, 2019 The Gold’s Gym 420 Treadmill is an entry-level machine that is ideal for beginners. For just under $400, it’s an impressively budget-friendly model that is typically sold by retailers like Walmart. Just don’t expect it to last like a more expensive model. You get what you pay for. The 420 ships with a 2.5 CHP G-Force motor and can withstand user weights up to 300 pounds. The Gold’s Gym Trainer 480 treadmill has nearly reached that low point. The $399 sale price ($499 MSRP) is a waste of money. But don’t dismiss all Gold’s Gym treadmills as there are better values, they are just priced a little higher. Wait and save a little more money until you can get the Gold’s Gym Maxx Crosswalk 650 for around $649. But are pretty and disposable qualities that you really want in a treadmill? Well with the Gold's Gym Trainer 420 these are exactly what you get; this treadmill looks nice but belongs in the trash. There are certainly times when disposable treadmills are useful like. The Gold’s Gym Trainer 430i is essentially the same treadmill as the Gold’s Gym 420 treadmill with only a couple of variances. The Trainer 430i has a treadmill belt measuring 16” in width and 50” in length while the 420 is 18” wide and 50” long. Gold’s Gym Treadmills like the 420 trainer are mostly sold through discount retailers like Walmart and Sam’s Club. The average price for this machine is $400-$600 depending on where you get it. But, beware when you purchase as it’s very poorly put together. When you turn the machine on the noise is loud and distracting. When you get on the treadmill and start walking it’s fine but if you try to jog the machine is very shaky and insecure. Gold’s Gym did add resistance upper body training with this model and thats about the only good feature to this model. If you enjoy just walking slow and need a treadmill at a low price then you may look into this but for the avid jogger this probably isn’t the best choice.

Gold Gym Trainer 420 Treadmill Manual
If you’re just looking for a “cheap” treadmill for walking this is it. It is very noise and durability is next to nothing. Gold’s Gym really compromised their name with this machine. Avid runners stay away!
